ABOUT THE FULL ARTIST DEVELOPMENT DIPLOMA PROGRAM:
This program has run for two years now and we will be tweaking it slightly for 2012-2013. We are working on the new admissions packet. If you’re interested in this program, please email us so we can keep you posted on the latest.
30 weeks, Scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
This program is for artists who want to get serious about their music and move into another league. If music is your life – and you’re a song-writer (or want to be) this program is for you. 12 contact hours per week with Rehearsal and Studio time built in. You can still work & perform through long weekends!
• Develop the Artist in you & learn about the changing music industry
• Build a resume of artist credits on recordings & complete your own demo
• Some songs get fully produced for the class project – year end CD by Producer Darren Clarke
• Get more exposure through showcases and Industry professionals that come to the school. Some students may be invited to take part in exclusive internships and may get to perform on commercial projects that Producer Darren Clarke is working on.
• Achieve an MMA / ACM Professional Music Diploma
• Build a professional strategy for your music and an online presence as an artist
• Access the International network of musicians in the ACM Student Portal
“So many musicians talk to me or come to work with me and they spend all this time and money on recording CD’s, but then they don’t really have a plan or understanding of what to do with it once it’s done. In this program we make a full production professional quality CD showcasing the work, talents, songs and skills of our musicians. This CD is published online and in print, and the whole process is a learning experience. We’re not talking about a demo here, we’re talking about the full monty. We also help them to navigate a pathway into the industry and give them the tools to progress, communicate with their audience and put themselves out there. APPLICATION & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Application Interview / Audition required (Demo CD or MP3′s required for out of state students).
• Guitar Based program (Bass / Acoustic or Electric), Vocalists / Drummers Considered
• Age 16+ (Mature students welcome)
• Besides their instrument, students will need headphones and regular access to a computer with Microsoft Office.
